What You'll Do
- Lead and own the pipeline from vendor discussions and procurement to pipeline design, deployment, and monitoring
- Optimize for minimal delivery cycles, ensuring real-time availability of standardized data outputs
- Build applications that make data querying effortless for researchers and traders
- Manage multiple datasets, ensuring quality and consistency
- Identify and prioritize requirements, balancing user needs and operational efficiency
- Propose new approaches to improve data flow and infrastructure
- Manage and mentor a group of 4+ engineers, ensuring delivery of robust, scalable solutions
- Uphold best practices in safe and compliant data handling
Who You Are
- 5–7+ years in data engineering, preferably in HFT or hedge fund environments
- Proven track record of leading teams and delivering complex data projects
- Strong Python, Bash, and SQL in a Linux environment; experience with Git, Jira, and Agile
- Understanding of low-level design for efficient data delivery; ClickHouseDB expertise with Python/Bash/C++ integrations
- Knowledge of market, alternative, and supporting datasets
- Analytical, organized, and detail-oriented; thrives in fast-paced, high-demand settings
- Able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
