What You'll Do
- Manage and maintain Linux/Unix and Windows servers for trading and research workloads
- Deploy, monitor, and optimize server clusters, virtualization, and containers
- Implement and enforce security policies, firewalls, and access controls
- Proactively monitor system health, performance, and uptime (99.99% goal)
- Automate server provisioning, patching, and backups using scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell)
- Troubleshoot critical incidents with zero tolerance for downtime
- Collaborate with developers and data teams to support deployments and scaling
- Ensure disaster recovery, redundancy, and failover strategies are in place
Who You Are
- 3–6 years of server administration experience in high-availability environments
- Expert in Linux/Unix systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL) and Windows Server
- Strong grasp of virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Skilled in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) with hybrid infrastructure setups
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform)
- Familiar with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, Load Balancing)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle pressure during incidents
